Terms of service

Clear terms for working together.

These terms apply to SalonTime accounts, salon workspaces and the related support service. Pilot salons also sign a separate Pilot Participation Agreement.

Effective 1 September 2026

Important

SalonTime supports salon workflow. It is not a booking system of record, medical device, substitute for professional judgement or substitute for product instructions and safety procedures.

1. Who provides SalonTime

SalonTime is provided by CloudSafe Consulting Pty Ltd (ABN 45 688 989 791), trading as Salon-On-Time ("CloudSafe", "we", "us" or "our"). These terms form an agreement between CloudSafe and the salon business responsible for a workspace, together with each authorised user of that workspace.

2. Accepting these terms

A salon accepts these terms by signing a Pilot Participation Agreement, order form or other agreement that incorporates them. An authorised user accepts them by creating an account or continuing to use SalonTime after being given access to these terms. If you use SalonTime for a salon, you confirm that you are authorised to do so and are at least 18 years old.

If a signed agreement conflicts with these terms, the signed agreement controls to the extent of the conflict.

3. Accounts and salon access

  • Users must provide accurate account information, protect their password and use only their own account.
  • Salon owners and managers control invitations, roles and removal of workspace access.
  • The salon must promptly remove former staff and notify us of suspected unauthorised access.
  • Users must not share accounts, bypass access controls, probe another salon's data or use SalonTime unlawfully.

4. Salon records and privacy

The salon controls the client and business information its authorised users enter, import or upload. The salon retains its rights in that information and gives CloudSafe permission to host, copy, transmit and otherwise process it only as reasonably needed to provide, secure, support and improve the service.

The salon is responsible for having an appropriate basis to collect and use client information, recording any consent required for photographs or sensitive notes, keeping records accurate and responding to client access, correction and deletion requests. CloudSafe handles personal information as described in the Privacy Policy.

5. Safe salon use

SalonTime timers, alerts, consultation fields, warnings and inventory records are workflow aids only. The salon and its staff remain responsible for client assessment, patch testing, manufacturer instructions, chemical-service timing, supervision, workplace procedures and all professional decisions. Staff must keep appropriate manual safeguards available and must not rely on a notification as the only safety control.

6. Pilot and service availability

During a pilot, SalonTime is pre-release software and may change, contain defects or be interrupted. We will use reasonable care in operating and supporting it, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. Pilot salons must retain their existing booking records and operational fallbacks. Features identified as planned or unavailable are not part of the service.

7. Third-party services

SalonTime relies on services including device operating systems, app distribution, calendars, internet access and cloud infrastructure. Those services may have separate terms and may change or become unavailable. A connected calendar or booking feed remains controlled by its provider and the salon. CloudSafe is not responsible for third-party content or outages outside its reasonable control, but this does not limit any right that cannot lawfully be limited.

8. Intellectual property and feedback

CloudSafe owns or licenses SalonTime, including its software, design, documentation and branding. Subject to these terms, CloudSafe grants authorised users a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use SalonTime for the participating salon's internal business operations. Users must not copy, resell, reverse engineer or create derivative works except where the law permits.

If a salon provides feedback, CloudSafe may use it without restriction or payment, provided CloudSafe does not identify the salon or disclose its confidential information without permission.

9. Fees

The current supervised pilot is free unless a signed agreement states otherwise. Any future paid plan, renewal or material pricing change will be disclosed before it applies and requires the salon's agreement. No user is authorised to incur a charge merely by viewing these terms.

10. Suspension and ending access

Either party may end a pilot as set out in the Pilot Participation Agreement. We may suspend affected access where reasonably necessary to protect client information, investigate misuse, comply with law or address a material security risk. Where practicable, we will explain the reason and give the salon an opportunity to remedy the issue.

Before ending use, the salon should retain the records it needs in its primary systems. On a verified request, we will explain the deletion, retention and recovery limitations that apply to the workspace and backups.

11. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies a guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Australian Consumer Law. Subject to those rights, each party is responsible for reasonably foreseeable direct loss caused by its breach, negligence or unlawful conduct. Neither party is responsible for indirect or consequential loss that was not reasonably foreseeable.

12. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms as the service develops. We will give participating salons reasonable notice of a material change and will not use a change to remove accrued rights. New terms apply from the stated effective date. These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and the parties submit to its courts.

13. Contact

Questions, legal notices and support requests may be sent to support@salontime.au. Pilot owners should also review the Pilot Participation Agreement.
